MVP memo

Weekend slice

16 October 2026 · Kent

This is the slice that has to be real by the end of the weekend. It is a memo, not a roadmap.

In this slice

  • This site

The public page at /. The line, the gap, and the beachhead.

  • This memo

What the weekend is for, and what it refuses to pretend is done.

  • The demo console

At /app. A brief becomes a gated change in this browser. Widen, hold, kill, heal. localStorage only.

Intentionally not live

If it is not in the list above, it is not part of the weekend. These are the omissions, named so nobody demos them by accident.

  • Database

Changes do not leave the browser. Refresh keeps them. Another machine does not.

  • Multi-user

There is no account and no shared rollout. One browser, one list.

  • Flag CDN

Nothing evaluates a flag for real traffic. The percent is a control, not a network.

  • npm SDK

Nothing to install in an app. The diff is a mock you can read, not a package.

  • Auth

No login. The console is open because it cannot see anyone else's data.

  • Billing

No plans, no checkout, no seats.

  • Real model API

“Kent is gating the change…” is a short wait and a pure function of the brief. No model is called.

The bet

Own “AI change born gated.”

Coding tools own the diff. Flag suites own the ramp, after the fact. The open position is the moment a model-written change exists and is already behind a gate: 0%, a key, a diff, and a kill that does not need a redeploy. If Kent is not that, it is a thin demo of two products that already exist.

End of day, live

  1. This site on https://usekent.com
  2. hello@usekent.com receiving mail on the existing Google Workspace
  3. The demo console on that same deploy

Anything else is next weekend. The human steps for the domain, the mailbox, and Vercel are in GO_LIVE.md in the repo.
